Lee Salberg, PresidentLee Salberg is considered one of the veterans of the television industry when he became Promotion, Marketing, Publicity, TV producer and Director of the first affiliate CBS-TV station in Chicago (WBKB-TV). The station was owned by Paramount Pictures in Hollywood and Balaban & Katz in Chicago. After working for the CBS-TV station for several years the corporation wanted to buy ABC-TV. Red Quinlan, Vice-president, and a pioneer in the TV history of Chicago, and Lee developed the FCC exhibit that was presented in Washington, D.C. which led to the purchase of ABC-TV. Red Quinlan and Lee took over ABC-TV in Chicago. Lee was asked by TV Guide Magazine to become an exec for the company, which he served about eight years. Wayne Toberman, Vice PresidentWayne Toberman, has a diverse media background. He is a retired government Public Affairs Officer with 27 years of Domestic and Foreign assignments to his credit. During those years he was a journalist, photographer, speech writer, on-air personality, an editor, and established and operated a Press Center during a crisis situation. He is currently: the Owner/Operating Photographer of Alexis Studios, a Chicago based commercial photographic studio; the President of Alexis Media Group, Inc.; and President of Studio Support Systems, Incorporated, with 13 patent pending photographic products to their credit. An avid boater, he recently finished two terms as the Commander of the Chicago Sail and Power Squadron, a premier boating education organization and is currently their Diplomatic Community Liaison Officer. He has also been published in the US, Europe and Asia and taught photography to underprivileged children, and earned a Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts degree. Contact Wayne at vp.ipcc.us |

Henry Winograd, TreasurerHenry Winograd has long had an interest in politics and international affairs. He joined the International Press Club of Chicago after returning from a lengthy overseas assignment, in 1995. He has written for a local Chicago paper, on various topics. Richard Cornell, SecretaryCurrently a retired Chemist and a Board Member of the Chicago Section of the American Chemical Society as well as the IPCC. Richard is also a 1974 graduate of Columbia College with an Undergraduate Degree in Media Communications, and a 1977 graduate of Governors State University with an MA, also in Media Communications. Following his degree work, he worked in Steppenwolf Theater; held many positions as a Cinematographer, Theater Lighting Designer, Videographer, Stage Manager and for a time, served as a Board Member of the Midwest Section of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). Phil Moy, WebmasterPhil Moy began his digital media career in Engineering Graphics as an
instructor at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. He has
worked in technical, sales, marketing and educational roles for computer
graphics companies in manufacturing, industrial design, animation and
video, including Computervision, Alias Research, SOFTIMAGE, and
Microsoft. Phil managed accounts in the advertising and publishing
industries for IBM in the Midwest. He is currently involved in web
design, digital signage, e-book publishing and consulting for small and
medium businesses. |

Dr. Jerry J. Field, President Emeritus - International Press ClubJerry Field became a member of the Chicago Press Club in 1956. In 1981 he joined Lerner Newspapers as a TV Radio columnist.
In 1985 Field was elected the president of the Chicago Press Club, the first community newspaper reporter to hold the office. With Jerry C. Davis (Chicago Sun-Times) they co-founded the Chicago Journalism Hall of Fame, (CJHF) an annual dinner acknowledging Chicago’s contribution to national media. With Harry Kellior (Chicago Tribune) they instituted a business plan for the CPC. Guided by Herman Kogan (Sun-Times) they started the the Freedom of Information seminars, the monthly programs and a series of sub-committees to advance the journalism profession.
After the CPC folded, Arnie Matanky (Near North News) and Field started the International Press Club of Chicago (IPCC).

Georgiann CallawayGigi Callaway, retired US Navy, during her military service she served for the Ambassador to International Affairs; founded and first Editor of the Polar Express a periodical for military personnel assigned to the isolated Antarctic/New Zealand regions. She is a proud Alumna of the Illinois Lincoln Excellence in Public Service. Gigi is an active member of the American Legion Post 1941 in the capacities of member of the Executive Committee, Public Affairs Officer and Public Relations Chairperson.

Rollin DixRollin Dix is Professor Emeritus having retired in 2004 from IIT's Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Dept. He is developing a pedal-power therapeutic attachment for a wheelchair at Patpending Marketing, Inc. which he founded. During Prof. Dix's 40 years at IIT his research and teaching concentrated on mechanical design, but included serving as Associate Dean for Academic Computing, and extensive engineering consulting. Roger HamburgRoger Hamburg is retired professor emeritus Indiana Unversity South Bend political scinece and public affirs. Many of my pieces are in Bestthinking.com. I belong to Midwest High Speed Rail and Indiana High Speed Rail. I am also collaborating with Companions on a Journey, a group of former prisoners and have frequent contact with Wells Fargo and their economic reports. John FasciaJohn L. Fascia is CEO and President of Phoenix International Ltd, manufacturer and distributor of maintenance and advance hazardous liquid absorbents of spill clean ups. A graduate of the prestigeous U.S. Army War College, he retired from the Illinois Army National Guard with the rank of Brigadier General. John L. Fascia also serves as Chairman of the Board of Illinois Masonic Foundation for drug and alcohol abuse for children. |

Jim SmestadJim Smestad is a long term member of the IPCC and a well respected member of its Board of Directors. Following service in the military in the early 1950's, Jim returned to Chicago where, according to METAPEDIA, "Jim Smestad became a well known UPI photographer" who photographed such luminaries of the stage, screen, press and sports communities as: Marilyn Monroe, Red Skelton, Bob Hope, Edward Kennedy, Mike Royko, Harold Washington (particularly his swearing In ceremony), and Walter Payton, just to name a few. A lifelong photographer and world traveler, Jim can still be seen creating his special brand of images from the shooting platforms at the ends of the catwalks in both Milan and Paris during Fashion Week to the flooded rice paddies of SE Asia while documenting village life in Modern Day Vietnam. |

Phil KsyckiPhil Ksycki's career for the last forty years has been diverse. He has worked in the hospitality industry as a travel agency owner. In the hotel business he worked in sales and was a general manager, at the Near North News he was in charge of ad sales and was the office manager. Additionally Phil is an avid genealogy buff and an expert in vintage automobile restoration. |

Redd GriffinRedd Griffin formerly reported for City News Bureau of Chicago and served on the production staff of WTTW 11. He continues to promote understanding and appreciation of cultural history and communications through courses, lectures, readers theater, audiovisual and print media, exhibits and the Internet. He teaches at Triton College and Hines VA Hospital. He serves on the boards/advisory boards of various organizations, including WTTW 11, the Ernest Hemingway Foundation of Oak Park and the Illinois State Historical Society. He has served on the board of his alma mater, Shimer College, in the Illinois House of Representatives and in the U.S. Army Security Agency in Cold War Berlin. - |

Stanley Balzekas Jr. - Advisory BoardStanley, was born on October 8, 1924 and holds dual citizenship from both the US and Lithuania. He is currently serving as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Palm Beach, Florida, following his appointment in 2000. Stanley made good use of his Undergrad and Graduate degrees in Business and Marketing from DePaul University when he entered the business world ultimately rising to President(s) of Balzekas Motor Sales, Inc., and the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture, and ultimately becoming the Chairman of Chicago-Vilnius Sister Cities International Committee. Throughout his lifetime, he has received a number of awards, some of which are: the American Jewish Committee; Captive Nations Eisenhower Proclamation Medal; DAR Medal (Daughters of the American Revolution); Wigilia Medal (Polish Genealogical Society of America); 3rd Degree Order, Grand Duke Gediminas (Presented by Algirdas Brazauskas, President of Lithuania); and the Bronze Star, for his service to the nation while in the U.S. Army during World War II. He has also served on numerous committees and organizations including: the Chicago Commission on Human Relations; 12 years as a Board member of the Chicago Public Library; and on various business committees for the State of Illinois, the City of Chicago, Florida and Washington, DC. |
